Tibet overland tour 7 Days


Tibet is known as the roof of the world, Tibet, the mystical land of fantasy is the heart of Buddhist culture and philosophy and the most mesmerizing destinations of the world today as it seems as reserved as ever. It is not only the geographical and natural enchants but also a long historical culture and religion that appeal the foreigners to visit Tibet at least once in a lifetime. Rich and beautiful land with an average altitude over 4,000m (13,120ft) above sea level possessing more than fifty peaks above7,000m (22,960ft), Tibet is home to eleven Himalayan mountains over 8,000m (26,240ft). Bordered by China, India, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan, Burma and Kashmir Tibet is home of over two million people of rich ancient cultures. Spiritual traditions, temples and monasteries, lakes and rivers, and mighty snow clad peaks are just a few of the intoxicating wonders to be experienced by adventurous travelers who get the opportunity to visit this land. You will be enthused by watching how pilgrims brave hostile weather and altitude to visit the holy Mt. Kailash and how they prostrate in the flagstone country yard of the Jokhang, offering incense as they circumnavigate the holy Buddhists sites to pay veneration to the Shakyamuni.
This Lasha 7 days Tour is our effort to provide you the best travelling experiences while travelling in Tibet. This tour is for those visitors who have limited time to spend their holiday in Tibet. This tour starts from the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. You will explore the Lasha the capital city of Tibet which literately means "The land of Gods" or "The Holly Land" in Lasha. You then come back to Nepal via super scenic flight.

Detail Itinerary


Day 01: Arrival, transfer to Hotel (A)
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative welcomes you and assists you to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu, after freshen up; you will be provided the necessary information regarding the trip in Nepal along with our fellow trekking staff for your adventurous trip. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation (A, B)
We will collect you on the morning for guided trip of cultural word heritage sites in Kathmandu valley which is rich for its Newa culture and temples; including several places of pilgrimages sites for Hindus and Buddhists , the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the world biggest Stuppa; Boudhhanath, Swoyambhunath Stupa (monkey temple) and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square with unique architectural temple, and incredible Kumari widely known as Living Goddess in Basantapur of central kathmandu. There will be meeting with other members along with our fellow trekking staff at our office for a pre-trip discussion in the evening.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Lhasa (3,650 m)
Today as per the flight schedule the guide will assist you to check out from hotel and transfer to TIA airport to fly from Kathmandu (1350m) to Lhasa (3650m). Enjoy the super scenic flight of approximately 80mins with majestic view of High Himalayans including Mt. Everest. Arrive in the holy city of Lhasa, capital of the mystical Buddhist Kingdom of Tibet and you will be greeted by tour representatives from Tibet at the airport and transferred to the Hotel.

Day 04: Sightseeing in and around Lhasa
In the morning visit Potala, this was originally constructed in 637 by Songtsen Gampo, the first king of the united Tibet, and later expanded and served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas as well as the religious-political nexus of traditional Tibet. The present one was built by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century. The Potala is full of elaborate artwork and frescos that tell many stories. They portray religious subjects as well as the customs and traditions of Tibet. In Lhasa you will also visit Norbu Lingka (the summer palace of the Dalai Lamas), Drepung and Sera Monasteries and after lunch we will visit Jokhang Temple, situated in the old section of Lhasa. King Songtzen Gampo built this temple in the mid-7th century A.D. Now it is the most sacred place in Tibet. Pilgrims come here to pay homage from all over Tibet.  Overnight at Lasha.

Day 05: Sightseeing in and around Lhasa
In the morning visit Drepung monastery the sacred land of Gelug Sect, which was established in 1416 and the second, third and fourth Dalai Lama once resided in. "Drepung" in Tibetan means "the hill of rice”, because this white Monastery looks like a big hill of rice. Afterwards visit Norbulinka, the summer residence of the Dalai Lamas. We then visit Sera monastery, was founded in 1419 by Jamchen Chojey of Sakya Yeshe of Zel Gungtang , a disciple of Tsongkhapa and  has always been an important Buddhist seminary. This monastery is also known as “the court of wild rose” because roses are planted everywhere in the monastery. The Sera Monastery, as a complex of structures with the Great Assembly Hall and three colleges.

Day 06: Lhasa to Kathmandu
Today as per the flight schedule the guide will assist you to check out from hotel and transfer to Gongkar airport to fly from Lhasa (3650m) to Kathmandu (1350m). Enjoy the super scenic flight of approximately 80mins with majestic view of High Himalayans including Mt. Everest. 

Day 07: Kathmandu to Your Port of Destination
Your Tibet Overland Tour has come to an end today. Today is free or last minute to enjoy in Nepal. If you have days left and ready for next trip then let us know. If not our representative will transfer you to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination as per your flight schedule, taking with us the memories of wonderful moments spend with us.
