This cultural tour starts from undoubtedly the most beautiful valley in the country, Paro. Paro is a historic town with many sacred sites and historical buildings scattered through the area. The Paro Festival is one of the most popular festivals in Bhutan which begins on the 10th day of the 2nd month of the Bhutanese calendar and ends on 15th day of the 2nd month of the Bhutanese calendar. This tour covers the most popular tourist destinations like Thimpu, the capital city and the country's only one airport Paro. This cultural tour helps you to explore the unique culture and traditions, marvelous arts and crafts and religion of the mountain kingdom of Bhutan.

The 4 days Bhutan Cultural Tour starts from the Paro International Airport and the historical town of Paro. The next day you visit Thimphu and Punakha. Tigers Nest, Paro dzong and Ta dzong are the main highlight of Paro. In Thimphu you will visit Tashi Cho Dzong, Sangay viewpoint, mini zoo and Chimi Lakhang.

Detail Itinerary


Day 1:  Arrival in Paro, transfer to Thimphu
A super scenic flight brings you to the small valley of Paro. Upon your arrival in Paro you can have the impressive look of High Himalayan Rang. If the weather is clear you also can have the view of Mt.Everest. The landing, flying through the Paro valley between the 4000m high mountains, brings completely new experience on you. Our Bhutanese representative will welcome you and will assist to transfer you in your hotel in Thimpu. You may relax at your hotel or visit to the several places of Thimpu. 

Thimphu is the capital city of Bhutan situated on the banks of the Thimphu Chu and set gloriously in the hills of the Thimphu valley. The city is spread out longitudinally in a north-south direction on the west bank of the valley formed by the Wang Chuu, also known as the Thimphu Chuu River and is a home to the Bhutanese Royal Family, the Royal Government to several foreign missions and development projects. Thimphu, as the political and economic centre of Bhutan, has a dominant agricultural and livestock base and the culture of Bhutan is fully reflected in Thimphu in respect of literature, religion, customs, and national dress code.

In the evening you can enjoy welcome dinner in the hotel restaurant in the heart of Thimpu meanwhile briefing about your adventurous trip will take place.

Day 2: Thimphu - Paro
After a hearty breakfast we stroll around the Bhutanese market. It is a very good chance for you to explore the Bhutanese lifestyle, tradition and culture. We hike to Cheri Monastery (Cheri Dorji Dhen) which takes approximately 2 hours. We follow the trail that starts by crossing a lovely covered bridge that spans the Wang Chu, and then gently climbs to the monastery.
Later we visit Punakha Dzong (fortress) and then we take a drive to Paro and if we have sufficient time we also visit the National Meuseum at Ta Dzong and Paro Rimpung Dzong.

Day 3: Paro - Taktsang Monastery, Tiger`s Nest
If you are tired then you can relax in your hotel. Today we hike to Taktsang Monastry which is Bhutan`s most recognizable cultural icon lounged up a seemingly sheer cliff. Although it was tragically and mysteriously consumed by fire in April 1998 it has now been restored to its former glory. It is one of the popular Monastery of Bhutan.
Later we descend down the valley and drive back to Thimpu. In the late afternoon we will reach Thimpu and walk to the main city and get a chance to explore the Bhutanese lifestyle, tradition and culture. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 4: Paro, departure
Your Bhutan Tour has come to an end today. Today is free or last minute to enjoy in Bhutan. If you have days left and ready for next trip then let us know. If not our representative will transfer you to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onward destination, taking with us the memories of wonderful moments spend with us.
